Matchstick Productions "Days of My Youth" - Special London Screening

Hi all,

I'm a local East Dulwich resident hosting a special movie screening in central London in on Friday December 5th that will hopefully be of interest to all you ski/snowboard fanatics!

Holmlands Events are delighted to invite you to attend a very special screening of this year?s hottest ski films...!

Red Bull Media House, in association with MSP Films, presents ?DAYS OF MY YOUTH?, a new film that examines every skier?s lifelong affinity for the sport. Narrated to the prolific readings of Alan Watts, this film exposes the many joys and occasional struggles associated with a lifestyle built around skiing. Filmed over two years using state of the art techniques and technologies, this movie offers a unique glimpse into the journey of self-discovery that every skier experiences.

The team, along with an intimate cast of skiing?s modern day superstars, have looked through the lens in a new way to capture moments that redefine what is possible on skis. Watch as these premier athletes explore the globe and escape to mountainous playgrounds to challenge their innermost hopes and fears. ?DAYS OF MY YOUTH? reminds us of that special feeling of our very first time on skis, and proves that skiing can keep you feeling young for a lifetime.

This very special event is being hosted in the 190 seat state-of-the-art Ham Yard theatre at the Ham Yard Hotel near Piccadilly. Bar facilities will be available at the theatre?s ?Dive Bar,? named in honour of a 3ft neon lit lady diver, which hangs on the far wall alongside cascading Kit Kemp designed Rick Rack wall fabric by De Gournay.

Join us for this special event to help get you in the mood for the new winter season with a FREE Prize Draw, with 10% of all proceeds from this event donated directly to Disability Snowsport UK.

    • I have a couple of large boxes, if you still need some.
    • Farmers aren't being gifted anything; Their heirs are being gifted millions of pound worth of income generating assets by chance of birth (in most cases). An estate that they have done nothing to earn. Most farms worth under £3m will still end up being passed on tax free. Those that do have to a pay inheritance tax will do so at just 20% on that part which is over the threshold (rather than the standard 40%), and they'll have 10 years to do so (usually it is payable immediately). So it is still preferential terms for those being gifted a multimillion pound estate So to repeat my previous question... Why do you think people coming into a massive, unearned windfall shouldn't pay any tax, but a nurse who works hard for everything they earn, should pay tax?
    • We recently used Jan at Silver Fern for some fencing and driveway works, he also built a side return shed which is now a water tight space for storage.    Would certainly recommend speaking to Jan for gardening or landscaping needs. http://www.silverfernlondon.co.uk [email protected]
    • And the latest shocker, Inflation this morning was 2.3% up from 1.7& the previous month, a 0.6% increase in a month, that is dreadful. So Robber Reeves plan is already working (NOT). Inflation has begun to increase and will continue to do so, I predict the next set of unemployment figures will show a rise. Neither of these things can be blamed on the last Govt, it's down to the inept budget and impact it is having already.
