Lordship
Unfortunately the body of a small cat has been found on the flower bed to the left of the bench outside JAPS on Village Way SE21. Someone has covered it with a white towel as the route is used by lots of children on their way to school but was able to note the bottom of the back legs were white. Posting in case someone is missing a much loved cat and would like to know what has happened. I will contact the council tomorrow to remove. MissKing
Can the RSPCA assist - maybe the cat is micro chipped? We lost one of our cats to a road accident last week. It is very upsetting. Luckily he was micro chipped or we may never have even found out. Lollipop
James can confirm but I believe the council scans the animal to see if it has a microchip and would try to inform the owner. I know that because I lost a cat some time ago. He turned up in Herne Hill - and we were reunited because he was chipped! In the meantime I called the council and every animal rescue I could think of to find out if he had been hurt.
