wordpress or blogspot for a blog?

hello, what platform (wordpress or blogspot) would people recommend for a personal blog (I am just starting), and what are the pros and cons for each?


I am thinking of starting with a free account option and if the blog kicks off, I may move to the premium account. I have never run a blog either so have no experience. Any advice would be helpful. THANK YOU!!!

general share. No business-related. I want to start blogging about sustainability issues to share and deepen my knowledge on the subject. would you go for wordpress then? I am an absolute beginner but will soon have the time to get more involved. many thanks

      "Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Crystal Palace (Greater London, England) mast? "Crystal Palace transmitter - Crystal Palace transmitter: Possible effect on TV reception week commencing 12/05/2025 Pixelation or flickering on some or all channels" says https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/tv/Crystal_Palace. In which case I don't see any point in rescanning (not that it'll do any harm). I've not noticed any signal degradation at all, TV or BBC radio, so it sounds as if it's probably intermittent.  Ah -  I did notice a couple of brief  R4 breaks yesterday, and assumed they were studio glitches.  I don't think either lasted more than a minute.

      Just wanted to recommend Core on Upland Road for great treatments.  I had the best massage I've had for a long time there in a long time yesterday afternoon.   Lovely people and environment.

      Unfortunately I spoke too soon. TW said they had finished. Then sent another communication shortly afterwards saying they hadn't. They are now saying they will get the water back to normal "as quickly as possible". Not their finest hour. Sorry for the misinformation.
