Macsen
Lit Crawl London, a one evening festival / literary crawl, will take place in Peckham on 11 October. Crawl the streets of Peckham and get intoxicated on literature (as well as your lubricant of choice). Lit Crawl invites you to choose your own path through a series of events, taking over galleries, pubs, bookshops and coffeeshops to bring readers and writers together. Free events, a relaxed atmosphere and an eclectic selection of poetry, journalism and fiction make the Crawl a melting pot for book lovers and anyone drawn to the pleasures of the unexpected. Last year, Soho and Covent Garden venues were left with standing room only as Crawlers took in readings, music and a discussion with Booker prizewinner-to-be Eleanor Catton. This year the festivities take over Peckham, with returning events from The White Review, Clinic and Liars? League along with some new hosts that we?re very excited about. Lit Crawl spun out of San Francisco?s irreverent literary festival Litquake, and now has events in LA, New York, Austin, Seattle and Iowa City. London was the first European city to hold a Lit Crawl.
