Otta
Yep, if based on that then Ed would have no chance at all. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/49754-the-next-prime-minister/#findComment-785997 Share on other sites
Loz
Based on that speech, Ed would have failed to get a job a McDonalds.'Gareth' on the other hand, seems to be a rising star. The Guardian even sought his comments today on Cameron's speech, which essentially was "I didn't listen to it". Mick Mac
I think I posted on here the day Ed got elected leader that as long as he was at the helm it was going to be years in the wilderness for labour. Can we find that thread? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/49754-the-next-prime-minister/#findComment-786005 Share on other sites

Otta
I think Ed Miliband is a decent man and I think he has some good ideas, I just think he's a media disaster, and unfortunately he lives in a time where substance means fuck all, and playing well to the cameras / microphone means everything. Jessie
Cameron is a pr man. Gives good speech but all quips and no substance. Unless you go for the Tory thing and then of course you'd gobble it up. legalbeagle
I would rather rip both eyes out and fry them than vote for Cameron, no matter how good his speech writer might be. I don't have a TV so my impression of Miliband in action is based on radio, where he has always sounded less substantial than Cameron et al. Looks like a nice guy, though. No.I dunno, I think that was a principled stand. He obviously had no time for Blairites/sm, was immediate to distance the party from all that and saw his brother as the head of a faction that wanted to drag Labour deeper into the mire. I don't think it was personal, I'm sure they still get on better than your Hitchens did (whilst they were both alive and stuff). He took on his broither because he believed he was better to take the party forward. His brother probably would have played the part better, but any Blairite can fuck off as far as I'm concerned.
