Ah, no need to apologize. I don't need to be so grumpy about it. Could just look upon it as a nice excuse to laze around reading books etc. Maybe if I tell myself enough today I am positive I will feel better tomorrow it will start to shift???

Refuses to be part of the pattern.

Because I am having a crap week.

Damn.

Well my day today has not been as bad as the previous ones but a cloud is descending as they are announcing redundancies on Friday or next week - what a brilliant way to say thanks for all of your hard work given there are no bloomin jobs out there at the moment!

got two agency interviews tomorrow peeps so wish me luck!

Oh and for anyone who hasnt tried it, the wine is helping!

Me too Sean: cycling into work this morning the little birdies seemed to have noticed too.

But in keeping with the spirit of this thread the guys came to fix our phone lines on Monday (phones have been down for about two months!). We obviously got their top workers. They did the job so well we now have no phone, no internet and no cable TV. Grrrr.

Would get on the phone to them, but....

Well the interviews went well, they were just agency registraions really.. there are two jobs I am being put forward for to see if I can get an interview (one of which is already in final stages but +7k so I want it).. They advised there really isnt much out there but things are showing signs of picking up..

Just been told redundacies not being announced today they will do it next week..

Jaws' passport turned up today from the home office (we had to request it be released as she is travelling)and after a whole host of drama filled phone calls / borderline tears it is finally here and she can go on hols so that is absolutely fantastic news!

Besides being almost being run over yesterday it does seemed to have improved slightly.. I think the bottle of wine each night and a few cheeky cigs is helping!

xx

hold tight folks, I read somewhere that 19th Jan is statistically the most depressing day of the year... (statistics eh!) and that is TOMORROW.... keeping my fingers cross we all get through the day OK, then it's 'roll on the spring'

xxx and positive stuff through the ether

    • Southwark is closing youth centres day centres they’re not going to spend millions on opening a new community space. What that area needs is a good supermarket. The nearest one is Sainsbury’s in Forest Hill. someone else may well know of the mechanism where a council can make a compulsory purchase. So the supermarket underneath with three or four stories of social housing long top built in the same style as the Dulwich estate.Next door.
    • I'd also like to recommend Paul! His colleague Damien did a super quick and neat job sorting out a kitchen socket for us which had stopped working. Paul is very easy to communicate with and it's great to know there is a reliable and skilled electrician in the local area. His number is 07802627967
    • hi  Anyone going through this therapy (Dab & Tram)?   Fancy setting up a support group to compare experiences?
    • We are a local Country Rock group, looking for a male singer to join us. Current line-up is drums, bass, two guitars and a female singer. We are looking for a male singer to complete the line-up.  We mostly play Country Rock and Country covers, gigging locally, for fun. We occasionally get paid, but there's probably not going to be a lot of money in it! We rehearse most weeks and have our own rehearsal space in East Dulwich. To give you an idea of the sort of music, we do songs by The Eagles, Luke Combs, Charlie Crockett, Sheryl Crow, Nikki Lane, Tom Petty, etc. If you are interested in getting involved, please reply to this post, or phone or text Matt on 07944 673185.
