Has anyone got CCTV? I'm thinking of installing a system to monitor the front and back of the house and maybe a few internal cameras and would like something that's easy to install, gives good quality images, and is viewable from the internet/a smartphone as well as records to a hard disk. Any recommendations? Are the Maplin systems worth buying?

Used to work in that field - a maplin system is a good, cheap intro but it may not last too long.

I fitted a CCTV camera looking out my front door, to see who is there, it did not cost a lot got a kit for a few pounds, if you go through your recorder then to your TV you can flick to see who is there while watching the TV.
