This is my first post so please be gentle!

I'm volunteering on a documentary that's following the UK's only blind orchestra on tour. Blind musicians are in need of opportunities to perform - extraordinarily talented musicians still find it difficult to get gigs. We hope to spread the Orchestra's message, change the way blind people are perceived and the perspectives on what blind people can do.

I met a few of the musicians when we launched our fund raising month on Monday (Peggy the ninety year old mini-cymbalist and Fereshteh an Iranian singer with her guide dog Bruce!). The project has been self funded so far but is in need of some help. You can help in anyway you feel comfortable from sharing our story on Facebook or Twitter to donating here. Whatever you can give would help the Inner Vision Orchestra and their story on its journey!

PS. You can take a look at the trailer and more here and their first gig is at the Rich Mix on the 25th September!

Good luck to you and them. I know a thing or two about visual impairment, and how it can hold people back.

I would say though, that anyone that thinks being blind would stop you from being a good musician, is a bit of a muppet.
