Never been to Bookmonger in Brixton but it sounds like its worth a visit Ms B.

Am currently reading 'A Gentleman of Leisure' and can't help but imagine HonaB as a fully paid up member of the Strollers' Club... the pleasantest club in New York, comfort without pomp is its motto.

    • Oh, you most certainly imagined it! Santa on a penny-farthing in Dulwich Park? Pfft, what a show-off! Sounds like the kind of thing that jolly red buffoon would do to rub his cheer in everyone’s faces. Now, if you’re after real festive entertainment, why waste your time chasing a wheeled Santa when you could have ME—THE GRINCH—show up at your doorstep? No bicycles, no ho-ho-horrible singing—just pure green chaos, gift-giving (and taking, depending on my mood), and some top-tier holiday sass. Best of all, proceeds from my visits help feed families this Christmas through Infinity Kitchen’s Pay It Forward model. So, you get me, the kids get a laugh, and others get a hot roast dinner delivered on Christmas Day. Now THAT’S a reason to book! Check me out and grab a slot before I decide to pedal off myself... maybe on a tricycle. Find me at www.infinity-kitchen.co.uk. You’re welcome. Grinch out! 💚
    • Today BBC carry a story on their website saying the Education system is broken. "Government statistics released on Thursday found that a growing number of parents have withdrawn their children from mainstream education in England. An estimated 111,700 children are being home-educated, a 20% rise since last year. Around 23% say their reasons are a result of lifestyle, philosophical or preferential choices, such as religious or cultural beliefs or a rejection of an exam-based education. 13% of families now say they made this decision because of school dissatisfaction, including special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and school bullying. 14% say it is due to their child's mental health. PECKHAM PODCAST recent guest Charlotte Prendergast who runs SYLA in Peckham to aid struggling Black boys is really worth catching.
    • Was there really a cyclist pedalling a Penny-farthing dressed in Santa regalia early on Saturday morning in Dulwich park - or did I imagine it?
    • This is a bit of a long shot but if anyone finds a giraffe comforter on Forest Hill Road or in Peckham Rye park please let me know! Thanks
