Burger Bear at The Old Nun's Head:

Monday 6-10pm

Tuesday 6-10pm

Saturday 12-10pm

And don't forget tuesday is Player's night too - if you haven't already cashed in on this then what are you waiting for...

We appreciate how tough it can be working at a pub, so we wanted to treat those of you that do - if you are lucky enough to work at a pub or restaurant, then bring in some proof (payslip will do) and we'll treat you to 20% off food and drink!

Continuing with the new food rotation at The Old Nun's Head, Burger Bear are here every Monday and Tuesday evening and Saturday all say to put that smile on your face! A variety of some serious burgers to whet you appetite (including a tasty veggie option!)

  I have no information on that. I'd imagine GALA would be happy to advise you direct. I am interested to know what happened at the consultation meeting a few days ago and am hoping that someone from FOPRP can share. The concern is that it is proposed to extend the event footprint and timeframe. If successful, this could set precedent for further extensions and for other events organisers to bid for slots throughout summer, in a scenario similar to what has happened at Brockwell Park. This is not a flight of fancy, Cllr Catherine Rose has stated intention to monetise parkland.

  There are also really bad pitted holes further up near the school and hospital - mainly in the areas cyclists use near the pavement. I have no idea why the pavement and road surfaces of this road used by so many children walking and cycling to school is so poorly served by whoever is responsible for maintenance. A note to all the people driving up to the barrier and forced to do a u-ey, when there are 4 x road closed signs….. maybe the road is closed. Doh!
