Really sorry, I have been away since the original post. Very difficult to describe the man, but of African decent I would say, very dark skin and quite thick set/sturdy looking. He was wearing a black tracksuit and a black woolly ?beanie? type hat and possibly had a moustache. The vehicle they drove away in was an old white pick-up truck that had one of those cabin things enclosing the back. Not much to go on there I suppose, but I was quite anxious and tried to stay my distance as best possible, but I still feel we were followed for a reason, that being the dog. In reply to some of the earlier posts, my dog is a pedigree and not that common, but I wouldn?t have thought attractive to someone who was looking to use her in any dog fighting or baiting activity. Dulwichmum, I really didn?t want to scare anyone, simply thought that if I posted my experience, dog owners might be that little more vigilant.

Why is it that people used to have dogs to help

them feel safe - and now people don't feel safe

because they have a dog.

Are today's dogs a bunch of softies? Can't they

look after themselves anymore, never mind protect

their owners.

Can't win really!

Agressive/agressive looking dog = Menace to society!

Socialised and of good temperament = Waste of fur?

The dogs aren't at fault, it's the @/*?ing lowlife scum that are stealing them!

That?s a very interesting view of seeing it! Maybe in former times it was like that but nowadays not many people have dogs to protect them - dogs are human?s best friends!

And I dont feel afraid because i have a dog I am afraid of loosing my dog! Or of people that want to steal my dog!

It is because of the lowlife killer fighting dogs,

that ordinary family pet dogs are being stolen.

You've missed an apostrophe and an s from the end of lowlife! Unless of course you believe that stealing family pets for the reward, for ransom or breeding as well as the use in dog fighting, is something gangs of 'killer fighting dogs' do?

They were on time, polite and went the extra mile at the other end to ensure everything was in the right rooms. A great experience during a stressful period!
