And not just the 'employed' and 'young at heart' (which makes you sound 60+) nonsense. That's unlikely to be the only reason that someone would agree to meet up and chat with you.

What do you enjoy doing? What are your best characteristics? What kind of traits do you find attractive - or unattractive? Sell yourself on more than just your employment and marital status...

...:) :) ..and that s what I am saying!!!

Why nowadays we got to sell a person on the net?Why singles "need to be banned" or hiding behind a computer..?

Why would t you talk to me if You see me in a pub or on the bus but will do that on the internet..?

I just would like to meet someone and being more interested in discovering the other person in front of me rather than being busy "describing myself" (as you could really describe a person in words and in typical 2500 characters.

I think I am an amazing person. Nobody has forgotten about me for sure..and i m very articulate: everybody seem to agree You never get bored with me

I am also good looking i believe but I get to talk with You only on the internet..

Now i am going to my local pub (the g.exhibition) and it s gonna be lots of families and kids (I love them) around but still...i won t find anyone to talk to and.. i love talking!

anyway if you both, KalamityKel and applespider , wants me to write down a lonely hearts add let me know..i could give it a go..:)

going for a drink, wish I could just ring You up inviting for drink..

Wish You a lovely sunday

Also don t get me wrong...the add was about ED and its "family crowd" let s say. It was not about me being single ..

I am not looking for "somewhere" to stop or to settle only if you see what I mean. I am personally struggling to stop somewhere and anyway I could do that anytime today or tomorrow. I am looking for someone to fly even higher than I am on my own.I am looking for someone to do even more and more..

The point is if you can get someone like me to stop..if we were talking about me but we were talking about ED..;))

Happy anyway to talk about me or you if you want..but than i d rather do it looking in each other eyes

anyway a part from all this I d like to share this with you..i love it!

I can't really talk about ED as I tend not to spend my limited free time out and about socialising in the local area but I think it might be a little unfair to say it's difficult for singles to get out there and mix. It's probably more a confidence thing. I mean I know there a lot of people who simply wouldn't go to the pub by themselves to avoid looking like a "loner". I'm much the opposite.

I'm a terrible chatter... will talk to anyone (haha no not in the weird stalker way!). Or rather I always tend to end up talking to random people, much to the annoyance of those I am actually out with. Inquiring on the taste of the sample ale someone is trying is a popular conversation starter... *shrugs*

I have long ago given up on understanding the human race. Butterflies are much more simpler ;-)

    • Cuppa with a copper has been around for a couple of years, maybe longer. Some of you may remember WPCs Trish and Deepa who regularly held informal sessions at Christ Church. They found out more what was going on in the neighbourhood, what scams were about, who was causing trouble etc, burglary, intimidation, drug dealing etc. People, especially Mums with young children and older people felt more comfortable in this informal environment. Trish and Deepa's informal sessions were expanded later after pandemic to the roll out across the borough of 'Cuppa with a Copper'. There have been a number of such events in ED - Dawson Heights, a PH in Forest Hill Road. Many areas in London and England operate similar initiatives.
    • This is why the NFU are so unhappy that Clarkson is involved as it distracts from the issues for real farmers. Your assumption that all land is purchased as a tax dodge is a wide sweeping dog whistle generalisation and, I suspect, a long way from the truth but something to government would love for people to think.
