Advice please

my dishwasher has just started filling up with water from my sink, dishwasher works fine, when I run the sink tap the water automatically goes into the dishwasher, no new plumbing work has been done, no pipes have been disturbed,dishwasher has been installed for over 2 years, water is running away fine in the sink, any advice please.
