sdrs
Hi, is anyone else having trouble submitting their online questionnaire/form (if they've completed one that is!) to Southwark Council about the future of Green Dale fields and the shared pedestrian/cycle path that runs alongside it? Mine keeps disappearing unrecognised into the ether. I already tried to attend the public exhibition on Saturday and couldn't find it! James Barber
This is a really important plan for the wider area. The first meeting about this I attended was in 2005 when local councillors were dead against such developements. So it is fanatastic news - it was one of my lots election pledges. If you email the problems you've encountered I'll try and get answers for you.I've used the consultation form - https://forms.southwark.gov.uk/ShowForm.asp without problems.Another good way to get involved is to join:http://www.friendsofgreendale.org.uk/Membership is free but donations are welcome. ellabrunswick
I've also had the same problem - the half-completed form (2 pages) disappeared when I clicked on 'next' with no 'submit' button or request for contact details.James, the link you provided takes me to a page headed 'Green Dale Fields Consultation Questionnaire' but has the following message underneath: 'No Form Identifier retrieved' and no form. There is a link to the online form on this page: http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/200073/parks_and_open_spaces/3569/green_dale_fields This does go to the form ... sdrs
Thank you both for your replies and many thanks for the offer of assistance, James. I agree that it is an important consultation for the area and like you, have joined the Friends of Green Dale. I got in touch with the Council about the problem I was having in submitting the online form and mentioned that I knew I wasn't alone in having a problem with it. They were quick to get their IT officer on the case and whatever the problem was (I still don't understand!) it seems to have rectified itself - I was finally tonight able to submit the form. The deadline for getting it in is 24th August, in case anyone else has had a disappearing form experience and wants to have another go! Rosymia
Same thing happened to me. I am afraid I gave up frustrated after spending time completing but unable to submit. sdrs
So frustrating, I know! You should email [email protected] and [email protected] and let them know this happened to you so they know my problem was not down to my computer (as they seemed to think it was) and can if necessary extend the deadline for submitting forms. You may find you are able to submit the form now that their IT officer has addressed whatever glitch was preventing me from submitting mine the first three times I tried, then again since the consultation deadline was 24th August, you may need to request for it to be extended. Rebecca and Pippa will be very happy to help I'm sure and will if necessary send you the questionnaire to complete by email. jonco
Hi and thanks for opening this thread sdrs. This is an exciting time for Green Dale with Southwarks plans for a developed green space and Hadleys proposals for the future of the site and DHFC. The newly formed Friends Of Green Dale is open for membership applications - you can join online here http://www.friendsofgreendale.org.uk/join/. The recommended cost is ?5 for working people between 16 and 65 and ?2 for unwaged and people either side of that age bracket. We are keen to hear peoples views and to involve every part of the community in these discussions. As noted above the deadline for online comments is Sunday 24th, link and details here http://www.southwark.gov.uk/greendalefields. Southwark intend to submit their own planning application towards the end of this year and the planning process is always open to comments on proposals. In the meantime Hadley the property developers have said they are "working on bringing forward more detailed proposals for consultation with local residents and Southwark Council"(Southwark News 21.8.14). One big question is 'how can community engagement be maintained'? Does this become an issue of simply being for or against someone else's proposals, which are then implemented, or not, with community groups and individuals on the relative fringe - or can something more sustainable and participatory be created? In financial terms, how can open green spaces be secured for the future in these days of severe reductions in spending? If so how can this be achieved? If you have views on this please join the Friends and share your ideas.Jonathan CoeChairFriends Of Green Dale Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/48074-green-dale-council-consultation-disappearing-online-forms-ends-24th-august/#findComment-775984 Share on other sites
