root
Anyone has any idea who those tw*ts on dirt bikes are?Been scrambling down east dulwich road (and on the pavement) wearing bandas and doing wheelies. Seemed like white kids late teens maybe early 20s. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/48012-chavs-on-dirt-bikes/ Share on other sites
geh
came past the pub on Lordship Lane earlier, pulling big air.Liked it (sorry) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/48012-chavs-on-dirt-bikes/#findComment-774419 Share on other sites

Otta
They've been around the area for a while now. The bike are annoyingly loud, but the worrying thing is that not one of them wears any kind of helmet, and you can't help thinking it's a matter of time til one of them takes a tumble.Dunno about chavs though. Don't really care if they don't wear a helmet and get themselves killed as long as they don't hurt anyone else. At best they'd make an organ doner.Chavs ... judging by their attire and demeanour they didn't seem to be particularly smart or sensible and they all seemed too white to be playing east coast gangsta in south london. Louisa
Here we go the blow in onslaught of anything working class yadda yadda. I bet if they were hipster/yummy mummy/city gent types on a lambretta doing this not an eyebrow would be raised. Louisa. I am of a port and rig upbringing, so hardly anything gets under my skin more than chichiness. Acutally ... those kids did. ultraburner
A lambretta cant hit 50 mph in two seconds though, or pull a very good wheely so its unlikely, Lousia. Sophron
No hint of blow-in Louisa, you are always looking for opportunities to grind that particular axe and this isn't one of them, push off unless youve got something objective to add. Louisa
No I won't "push off" because it is relevant, and who are you anyway? The forum 'relevance police'? and on the point of being objective, other than slate my contribution what have you actually added to this thread? Sweet F.A that's what. So take your own advice. Sophron
No it's not relevant or objective Louisa, you are an inverted snob and it's boring. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/48012-chavs-on-dirt-bikes/#findComment-774587 Share on other sites

Jeremy
Doesn't "big air" mean a jump off a ramp? Not just some poxy litte wheelie. Incorrect extreme sports terminology.Should have called the police, nothing will be acheived on the good old EDF. Earl Aelfheah
So riding up the pavements on dirt bikes, doing wheelies is 'working class'. You are a terrible snob.Louisa Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> Here we go the blow in onslaught of anything> working class yadda yadda. Otta
It's clearly not okay, I saw this lot a while ago and they're a bunch of morons acting like that on residential streets. But that doesn't change the fact that root's posts (especially the second one) are pretty unpleasant. Louisa
Absolutely Otta. Riding on the pavement is indefensible on every level. But the tone of this root persons second and third post in particular is pushing unnecessary boundaries with racial and social stereotypes. Interestingly, I was the questioned. Bizarre sometimes this forum is.Louisa. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/48012-chavs-on-dirt-bikes/#findComment-774654 Share on other sites

Jeremy
I always thought that "chav" meant someone who acts in an antisocial manner, and wears tacky/gaudy "designer" clothing. So maybe these guys don't fall into that stereotype. But exactly who are we afraid of offending here? Otta
Chav thing isn't really the issue for me, it was more the "At best they'd make an organ doner." attitude.
