Tony Conquest is fighting for the Commonwealth Cruiserweight crown at York Hall, Bethnal Green, the home of British boxing.

It?s the headline contest, with plenty other domestic dust-ups on the card. Promoted by Eddie Hearn.

I have not found out we can get tickets for @?40.

If anyone's interested PM me and I'll get in touch (I will need paying by Friday to make group payment Friday PM).

Should be a class night !!

Otta - too bad. Good luck with move !

well Mayweather ran a poll on his website and Khan won like 57/43% from fans who voted. I think Khan did a big plea via twitter etc. to get his fans to vote for him.

So Khan's been giving it large about he's the best opposition for Mayweather, meanwhile Mayweather's uncle says that as far as he's concerned Maidana will be the opponent, regardless of what the poll produced. There were 3 or 4 other polls by independent boxing / sport websites and in all of them Maidana was the clear leader in votes.

Khan since has made some fairly grovelling statements via media to Mayweather, trying to claw-back his favour.

Best boxing news this week is that Martinez has said publicly he wants Golovkin. He has to face Cotto first and there's plenty of quality views on Martinez's chances in both contests. It could be all talk but it's definitely a fight everyone wants at MW, it would remove any possible conjecture of who's the man at that weight because opinion is polarised over these two candidates solely.

Chisora v Fury this weekend. I fancy Chisora in R6/7.

Mayweather beats either of them with ease, it's probably just a case of who made more sense financially.

Khan was an idiot for backing out of the Devon Alexander fight, it was a winnable fight that could have boosted his credibility after his recent unconvincing form.

Khan now has to pull his socks up and work his way to contention for either a belt or a Mayweather fight.

I think he'd have had more chance beating Devon than the new champ Shawn Porter. If Khan faces contender Keith Thurman he'll be asleep by R6. Khan's now in a hot WW division with powerful punchers and gifted as he is, I'm not sure what the path is to a belt for him now. The Diaz fight highlighted perfectly the dangers he faces - and Diaz was a guy coming up from lightweight to face Khan.

One obvious opponent for Mayweather is Timothy Bradley. He's by far the most qualified of the Welterweights.

I'm not sure whether its the promotional barriers, money (Bradley doesn't have a huge following) or too risky.

If Pacman beats Bradley in a few weeks, that will make him a clear opponent for Floyd, maybe in Sept. If not then surely Bradley or FM cannot claim superiority.

I'm heading over to Tooting way to watch with a mate. Will let you know in case anyone fancies coming along once I've got details.

I can't help but feel that Froch was as bad as can be last time while Groves was at his best.

The big question is can Froch improve or has age and all those blows caught up with him. His granite chin is great but he's not afraid of getting caught to land his own punch. Groves speed means he'll get hit a lot. Very tough to call this one. If it goes the distance I think Groves on points but I reckon Froch will pull another TKO out the bag late on. Round 9 or 10.
