Someone told me that a friend of theirs overheard a conversation between a yummy mummy, pearly queen and a woman applying makeup on a bus regarding the annexation of ED by the people of Bromley. Plans are allegedly afoot to turn the whole of Lordship Lane into a dull lifeless suburban street full of mock Tudor houses with a Waitrose at the end of it with a 'street food van' selling organic burgers for between 6 and 12 quid. Did I miss anything out?

Hmmm...

Pizza was an everyday un-posh food in Italy, once upon a time

But now in New Peckham it's sold from Hipster blow in pop-up street food venues, to middle class art students and the like, who discover where's "hot" in the "scene" via twitter or Instagram

I did hear that to sort out the parking issues in and around East Dulwich

a multi-story car park is to be built on Goose Green.

There will be Public Toilets. These however will be closed at all times but a key

will be available by emailing Southwark Council who will arrange delivery.

2 days notice will be required.

A roof top bar will be available to rival Franks in Peckham.

There will be Live music at weekends but will have to finish by 02.00am

There is also provision for up to 5 Food Vending Vehicles.

Sounds good..

    • Oh dear. Sadly I had a disappointing meal on Saturday night. I should have read Malumbu's review above before I ordered. I thought I'd have a dosa for a change. Our meal arrived very quickly. However the dosa was more like a thick and very soggy pancake. The filling was fine. The sambar (sp?) was fine. The chutneys were not what I was expecting, and had a consistency more like sauces.  That might be my lack of knowledge of South Indian food, but I would have expected the coconut chutney to at least taste a bit like coconut. I left most of the actual dosa. My OH said his aubergine curry was delicious. I don't know whether the problem was that the dosa got soggy due to being wrapped in foil to be delivered, but tbh it didn't look like it had ever been a thin crispy dosa 😥 as I have always had in the past  at South Indian restaurants.
