wmac
Did anyone else hear the person screaming at the back of the Stuart Road allotments at about 5am this morning? Anyone know what happened? Police and an ambulance had arrived by half 5 so hopefully the lady is now ok. wmac
Definitely a woman shouting, 'somebody help me.' Police where already there and going up to find her by the time I got outside so hopefully she is now safe and well. Sue
If there was an ambulance there as well that doesn't sound too good :(Well done wmac for going to see what was going on rather than just ignoring a cry for help. jctg
Speculation, but I know there is an unguarded drop onto concrete of about 15 feet on top of the reservoir just above the boundary of the allotments. It could be an entrance to the reservoir, there's no guard rail and you could easily fall from the grass. Of course, I don't know if this is what happened.
