I have ,not with a great deal or interest I must add, been following the latest developments on Sark re: the democratic elections. All I can say regarding the Barc Bros, is what bad losers they are. Yes they have put quite a lot of cash into the island over the years, creating employment etc, but to throw ones dummy out of the pram after not getting their way, leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth. It just makes me wonder if they had got their people into power what their plans would have been. Sadly we,ll never know, but a little piece of me wonders would it have been like a plot from a James Bond book, with plans to take over the world (or at least Guernsey)from hteir island hideaway.

The Barclays are arseholes granted, but the background fuedalism of Sark lives on under the new banner of democracy.

the Channel islanders are still forelock tugging Nazis who never got what was coming to them - though Churchill- the Old bastard - did decide not to invade the channel island early on as he was displeased with their performance during the war- letting the coppers marshall POW slave workers on their land isnt something they like to bring up these days - still, they eke out a living nowadays by laundering money & helping the rich avoid paying their way

a thoughly disagreeable set of island all round

string them up.Bush should have included them in the axis of evil - or maybe its sub genre, axis of parasitic wankers

    • Looking for a celebrity impersonator for a party or any good companies any one knows, please let me know!!
    • That’s another big hike on the Sainsbury’s mini rolls! I spoke to one of the managers on the day of the anchovies price rise but all he could say was that his store doesn’t set the prices. Very vague and not helpful. i started this thread about price rises in  Sainsbury’s and it’s somehow being blamed on Brexit etc!
    • And the Sainsbury’s own brand chocolate mini rolls have gone from £1.15 to £1.40 overnight, so 22%-ish. I prefer them them to the Cadbury original because they have a lot more chocolate on them, presumably because they’re made in a less advanced factory. I would think that getting the Rizla thin coating of chocolate that Cadbury’s accountants demand onto a piece of sponge is quite a sophisticated operation. Discuss.
    • Another recommendation for Leon. He was able to come out to our electrical elergency within 24 hours of me contacting him. His communication was great and whilst he could not solve our problem, he was able to perform tests to identify this and did so quickly and efficiently. He charging  is very fair and his manner very pleasant. Both of these in contrast to some experiences I have had elsewhere.    happy to put my name to recommending Leon. His number is  07707 925039.
