Last minute holiday ideas please

We are going away mid august for a week. But we haven't booked anywhere! Does anyone have recommendations for somewhere in the UK/France. We would he up for anything that is reasonably priced - camping, glamping, cottage, hotel.

We found some good bargain holidays in previous years at French caravan sites like Guines or Drancourt near Calais so not too far to drive and plenty of activities for kids they always love these places, pony rides, swimming, evening entertainment singing and magicians. Plus they make friends with other kids on holiday. What I found was book direct with the campsites was cheaper by far than key camps or euro camps.
