marigolds
My 17 year old daughter is looking to volunteer on a local project or for a local organisation for a period over the summer- maybe a play scheme, summer holiday programme or working with organisations supporting the elderly. Can anyone recommend a non-profit organisation that might welcome someone with a good range of skills ?(Admin I hope this can stay on this section rather than moved to 'Wanted'.)Thanks,Marigolds Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46436-ideas-for-local-voluntary-work/ Share on other sites

Pugwash
Most of the projects will requires a CRB - I forget what the new name is and they can take weeks to come through. Anyone working with children or vulnerable adults usually require one even if it is for voluntary work Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46436-ideas-for-local-voluntary-work/#findComment-762024 Share on other sites

Peckhamrye
Getting a DBS (new CRB ) check isn't hard and is a lot quicker now - if that is the area she is interested in the sooner she signs up the sooner she can start volunteering.
