richardw
Surrey Docks Farm - please help by voting on Tuesday 25th NovemberSurrey Docks Farm is a working City Farm, on the banks of the River Thames in Rotherhithe, SE16.The Farms primary objectives are educational and many of its visitors are local children. We also run a variety of successful training courses for adults with learning disabilities at the Farm.Tonight at 6pm the Farm is on ITV?s ?Peoples Millions?.We are bidding for national lottery money to purchase a ?Mobile Farm Vehicle?.Many children who visit the farm have never seen a cow, sheep, pig or goat. Many of them have no idea where the food they eat comes from.We are hoping to change this.A ?Mobile Farm Vehicle? would enable us to visit those schools and groups who are unable to come and visit us.We would be able to reach and educate more children in London (and their parents) about food, food production and farming. You can support our funding bid by telephoning to register your vote.Full details of how to vote, along with information about the Farm, are available on our website:http://www.surreydocksfarm.org.ukIf you know someone else that may also be interested in the Farm then please tell them about it.Many thanks for your support,Richard.
