mjanson0
Hello forum users,We have a garden on North Cross Road that we are willing to give over to someone who is looking for some outside space. We are a shop and the garden is part of our premises but we just don't have the time to do it any justice. Until recently a friend started a small vegetable garden here but has had a baby so just doesn't have the time. Due to the recent wet and warm weather, it has become a little over grown.Access would be during working hours but should anyone be after something like this, then please make contact to discuss further. We aren't after any payment, we just would love to see this space used as it seems a real waste to have a garden over growing when there must be people out there who would love the use of a garden. Please pass on to anyone you feel may be interested.
No need for the space myself, but pls tell me the name of your store and I'll do my very best to visit and purchase your goods or services (provided you're not a women's hairdressers). A nice thought. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46290-free-garden-space/#findComment-760992 Share on other sites

Jacqui5254
What about all those people who spend months [?years] waiting for an allotment place...? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46290-free-garden-space/#findComment-761044 Share on other sites
mjanson0
Hi all, thank you for your messages.Jacqui's response about allotments is an excellent one and is how this started in the first place. My friend was discussing putting on herself on a waiting list but it was going to be years. I told her we had a garden going to waste and why doesn't she use it instead of putting herself on the long list. A short time later I was enjoying fresh potatoes grown on North Cross Road. Very tasty they were too!! If anyone knows of anyone on a waiting list, please put them in touch. We have been contacted about using it by a local community group and although a fantastic idea, I'm afraid that we need it to go to an individual as it requires going through the shop and we need it to have as little disruption to the business as possible. I hope that is understandable. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46290-free-garden-space/#findComment-761066 Share on other sites
