Personally I wouldn't use Little Clipper for an older girls haircut. I think they're great at what they do when there are little (pre-school) children involved, but for cuts that "matter" a bit more the attention to detail isn't there. My daughter was left with a very wonky bob last time we went (she sat perfectly still the whole time, so it wasn't due to her wriggling about).

Her most recent haircut was at the Galleon, on the corner of a Forest Hill and Dunstans Rd, they were great. I've used Village Way in the past too, they were also very good with her. My hairdresser (Kuki) also cater for children, but it can be tricky to get an appointment as they're very popular.

Can highly recommend Linda at heavenly hair and nails near barsolona and opposite what was the grove pub.

She cut my daughters hair and it was the best cut that my dauGhter has had from all the local, salons, layered it to look thicker and really spent time on her rather than just combing it through then snipping a cm off the bottom as she has had elsewhere.

They are closed this week for a refurb but def worth giving them a try next week when they re open.

    • As a note of recommendation, I did this course in Rye Oak Centre, Peckham and gained so much from it. Was such a lovely, supportive group.
    • Wish they get rid of the tree in Barry Rd adjacent to the Plough, The roots are all over the place, Council re tarmacked them some time ago but makes the pavement uneven. You cannot get a mobility scooter over them as tarmac slopes. Witness a lady with wheelchair trying to get over , in the end her carer had to help over with 2 crutches then push the empty chair over. Also young children using scooters/bikes have fallen off at this point. Hubby spoke to tarmac workers when the work was done and they felt the area was very dangerous to pedestrians and the council should have authorised the removal of both tree and roots. Some prams cannot get over as well. Prior to Christmas, mother/carer with 2 children in double buggy had to walk in road with on coming traffic. We do need trees   I have 2 in my garden - one is well over 50 years old and we have it pollard every few years to prevent it damaging neighbours property.

    • Re tea cost at the Viet Restaurant. One small pot of tea we had two small cups out of it. If we had a pot each would understand the price but not one small pot.
