There was another thread about this recently wasn't there?

Anyway, a quick google search reveals the following about me (aquarius)...

Strengths: Humanitarian, analytical, modern

Weaknesses: Unreliable, extremist, chaotic

Key characteristic: Iconoclastic

Perhaps I'm lacking in insight, but I'd say only one, maybe two, of those are actually true of me.

Have to say am Taurean and quite a lot of the traits associated with my sign are actually true where I am concerned, if I'm being honest, but not all of them,

Taurus Strength Keywords:

- Dependable

- Persistent

- Loyal

- Patient

- Generous

Taurus Weakness Keywords:

- Stubborn

- Laziness

- Possessive

- Self-indulging

Taurus in a Nutshell:

Taurus is the one who has immense perseverance, even when others have given up, the Taurus rages on. Solid and persistent, just like the bull, which is Taurus' well suited symbol. Taurus's have a well known reputation for being stubborn, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The stubborn streak can cause Taurus to butt heads and conflict with other strong character types. Taurus are not fond of change. They like the familiar and routine comfort of life. Taurus is easy going and not one to pick a fight but should some poor souls attempt to provoke Taurus, the wrath will be known, for they have a temper underneath the calm surface. Taurus are very responsive to their surroundings. They like decorations, color, anything that appeals to all the senses. Taurus like possessions and the Taurus home is nicely decorated with lots of things. Taurus are down to earth, they do not like gaudy, flashy or over the top things. They prefer comfortable and creative settings and objects. Taurus likes security, in every aspect of their lives from home, to love, to career. Taurus can be secretive, opinionated and stingy. Taurus tend to be self-indulgent and lazy, Taurus are master procrastinators of the astrology zodiac! They do however have a strong, persistent drive that comes to life when they chose, and no one would ever know that they are lazy. The secret to this is that their laziness is pushed aside when it comes to themselves

;-)

I have to say, kind of contradictory when you look on it, on the one hand it says one of my strengths is that I'm generous and on the other in the summary it says I'm really stingy, am the most generous person I know! and of course modest with it.... persistent yet lazy!

I am also Taurean and share all the characteristics.

It is true I can be very persistant about matters of principle, but am lazy when it comes to exercise. So maybe that's what it meant.

However, I remember a documentary about this and how it was such nonsense, proving it to be so.

Down to earth, another good Taurean trait!

I'm getting Richard Dawkins on this.

Remember how he took apart the water diviners and homeopaths?

He'll make mincemeat of this lot. Just in time for Christmas.

I bet he and his Dr Who assistant wife will wryly chuckle on the irony.

Let's hope the chuckling is a comfort to them both as they descend into the firiest pit of Hell.

Hasn't changes in something - I think it's the gradual movement in stars and time- Meant that our star signs are about 15 days out of sync to when the whole kaboodle was set up, which truly exposes it as the whole load of hokum pokum supersticious nonsense it was in the first place

Gradual movement in stars and time? 15 days out of sync? Kaboodle? Hokum pokum?

Let's see see Jonathon Cainer and Shelley so-called Von Strunkel, talk their way out of that little lot.

Good man Quids.

What he said.

I'm a rational logical intelligent kind of guy and I'm struggling with it. But it's my birthday on Monday, yay me.

Its a load of old *****ers!

I always asked the Wimmin' where I have worked over the years to guess my sign and,on average, they usually got it around 7th attempt....and then said "I thought so!":))

As if anyone could guess my Star Sign from the character traits that I have exhibited, thus far,on here, for example.

Those crazy Wimming - Tony have you spent your entire career in the company of militant followers of Gaia?

Surely the whole point of the contradictory character descriptions is so that anyone reading will identify with some of the characteristics, ignoring those that don't fit with their picture of themselves.

A load of old bollocks - fun though

Of course you would, typical Gemini.

    • That’s another big hike on the Sainsbury’s mini rolls! I spoke to one of the managers on the day of the anchovies price rise but all he could say was that his store doesn’t set the prices. Very vague and not helpful. i started this thread about price rises in  Sainsbury’s and it’s somehow being blamed on Brexit etc!
    • And the Sainsbury’s own brand chocolate mini rolls have gone from £1.15 to £1.40 overnight, so 22%-ish. I prefer them them to the Cadbury original because they have a lot more chocolate on them, presumably because they’re made in a less advanced factory. I would think that getting the Rizla thin coating of chocolate that Cadbury’s accountants demand onto a piece of sponge is quite a sophisticated operation. Discuss.
    • Another recommendation for Leon. He was able to come out to our electrical elergency within 24 hours of me contacting him. His communication was great and whilst he could not solve our problem, he was able to perform tests to identify this and did so quickly and efficiently. He charging  is very fair and his manner very pleasant. Both of these in contrast to some experiences I have had elsewhere.    happy to put my name to recommending Leon. His number is  07707 925039.
    • Steven is an amazing personal trainer! He's incredibly motivating and knowledgeable, and he's helped me push myself further than I thought I could. In just 3 weeks, I've noticed a significant improvement in my strength and overall fitness. He's not just a trainer, he's an excellent motivator and a great person to work with. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to achieve their fitness goals.
