James
Does anyone know what the shop opposite Mrs Robinson on Lordship Lane is going to be? It used to sell ethnic furniture & rugs and is now getting a yellow paint job... has it changed hands? Ant
I thought I heard it was just a refurb rather than a new shop, but I could well be wrong. Large pinch of salt recommended. mockney piers
Nope, salt free. It is indeed a refurb of caravan or karavan or whatever the old place was. We got some nice indian wood cupboardy, cd racky type stuff in there. MadWorld74
I went in there before it was closed for whatever reason and the guy in there was flogging everything half price, said he was moving on. I hope not. No where else in LL to get my Nag champa. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/461-new-shop/#findComment-10077 Share on other sites
benjaminty
it's definiteley re-openning .... as a ........ and wait for it .... as a "salon de the"! Sorry can't find acute accent on my keyboard =( Not only will it be a tea shop but also sell chandeliers and ... and ... and ...... damn it I've forgotten what else.. but it's a crazy combination anyway. I live nearby and was told by Mr Bell sr (used to own Bells Plumbing merchants) .. so I have it on good authority. That is presuming Mr Bell still has his full set of marbles! katgod
Think confusing 2 different places. Karavan is being tarted up by the same owner, whether with the same type of stock remains to be seen. The old antiques shop Le Chandelier is going to be a salon de the. We look forward to welcoming Dulwich Mum to the top end of the lane. Nice to have somewhere to stop for refreshments between the fishmongers and the butchers. clare
The man who was working on the outside of Karavan said it was same owner but more stuff from China. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/461-new-shop/#findComment-10368 Share on other sites
Michael Palaeologus
More stuff from China - as in cheap ceiling fans and garden furniture? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/461-new-shop/#findComment-10383 Share on other sites
