Tony.London Suburbs
Sadly the "Cockney" Sparras"-Cheeky Chappies of my youth i.e.80% of London Working-Class Males are a dying breed as well replaced by Metrosexual Man,so thats all right then:) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4603-the-sparrow-killers-of-east-dulwich/#findComment-148578 Share on other sites
SimonM
We have seen a massive increase in sparrow numbers in our bit of ED over the past few years - but then we spend a small fortune in feeders and food, and have triple-belled our mighty hunter of a cat! It is wonderful entertainment though watching the sparrows, tits, finches, robins, blackbirds etc etc through the window whilst smugly breakfasting: even get the occasional woodpecker on the apple tree.... PeckhamRose
Aren't cats also sparrowkillers? All those missing cats - that's what they're up to.So put bells on your cats' collars, people! SimonM
A single bell is no good - a cat soon learns to move noiselessly with one bell. Three bells should do the trick!
