chuff
I am not too far from you SeanMacGabban, just on the other side of LL by the library thingy.thanks everyone you have cheered me up and feel less like the 'naughty girl at school' now Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/456-parking-problems/page/2/#findComment-9904 Share on other sites
chuff
spadetownboy - Great minds think alike, was just looking at skip prices!am not really that vindictive but it makes me feel better to think about all the annoying things we could muster up. ClareC
How about a delivery of sand, that must be cheaper than a skip and you will have the pleasure of watching her moving it when she gets really cross! ClareC
Actually, presuming you decide against the numerous actions suggested, how about you just print off this thread in full and give it to her, should shame her into behaving in a more neighbourly manner! dulwichmum
But please Chuff, don't think that you have done the wrong thing moving here. Your neighbour needs a good slap. I love the sand delivery idea. That nice builders yeard by East Dulwich station would be my first port of call if I was you. Print off this thread and stick it through her door.DM Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/456-parking-problems/page/2/#findComment-9915 Share on other sites
spadetownboy
sands not a bad idea it could also solve the local animal poo prob by using it as a giant litter tray, however i still advocate the use of a skip as its just one big magnet for all the local rubbish.highly effective. Joe likes dinner
I am currently excavating our back yard and can happy supply a skip's worth of soil and other buried ephemeria, which I'm sure includes a few dead animal bones which could add great dramatic effect. Simimlarly, there are a couple of large campervan / motor homes in the area - perhaps one or all of these could be repositioned appropriately? chuff
there is a huge motorhome on marmora road that would be of great use, would really upset them.sand is great idea and if I pay by cash and wear a disguise - wonderfully anonymous too! Kathryn
I think you should print this off and post it to her to. It shows how worried you were about it, how sad it has made you in discovering that has been the only neghbourly communication and the outragesness of her request.Post Post Post Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/456-parking-problems/page/2/#findComment-9924 Share on other sites

Michael Palaeologus
There is a house at the roundabout end of ED Road that seem to have cat litter as the basis for their front drive area thingy. They wouldnt miss some surely? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/456-parking-problems/page/2/#findComment-9928 Share on other sites
chuff
I would of course omit any posts that would be considered threatening!I am seriously considering printing these out at least to keep on hand if there are any further developments.Have just been outside with my small boys and noticed a few figures huddled together having a little chat. May be a bit paranoid but felt that they might be talking about me! Mr Chuff did point though to ascertain the aformentioned complainant which sent them scurrying away so maybe that's the end of that.beware the Mr Chuff and his finger pointing!!!! dulwichmum
Please, please get some sand delivered and pay cash. I think an enormous cat litter is the way to go! Please? And, please post their address on here, so I can park all of my cars on their street...Actually, I will happily pay for the sand (my spelling is the pits - I am drunk!).DM X Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/456-parking-problems/page/2/#findComment-9935 Share on other sites
spymum
Poor Chuff! This neighbour is out of order - it does seem mean that you are new to the neighbourhood and this is all she can come up with by way of welcome! Harrumph! Please, please park where-ever you can find a spot. Even if someone has had their kerb 'cantilevered' down for parking on their 'garden' you are still entitled to park by law to park across that space. In an ideal world friendly neighbours help each other out, (knowing who is disabled or has three kids), and they try to leave spaces (if possible) - often it is not. And these guys are not being friendly at all - shame on them! Please continue to live your life without them 'intimidating' you. Honestly! This woman is being very silly.spymum(Blog: Posh Mum) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/456-parking-problems/page/2/#findComment-9938 Share on other sites
chuff
I am considering the sand as the easiest option, it is making us laugh too at just the thought of it which has to be brilliant therapy too.The road I am referring to is either just in SE22 or just in SE21 and runs towards Dulwich Park. There are a few famous residents at one end (who seem to be quite neighbourly by the way and are the only people who have said hello in the past). The houses are all very neat and tidy and very unspoilt by porches, cladding, crazy paving and the like. there is always dog poo at one end (which coincidentially isn't my house but the way the neighbours have been acting might as well be).can anyone guess which road?posh mum - friendly neighbours would be lovely Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/456-parking-problems/page/2/#findComment-9939 Share on other sites
Ko
Yes I can guess! Am I allowed to tell you my guess? If it is the road I am thinking then you live on a beautiful road! chuff
I don't know if you are allowed to say the name on here but you could maybe tell me how many syllables it has and the middle letter, that should solve it. There are two roads connected to it and we live on the less beautiful road but beautiful enough for us though. Pity the neighbours are not so beautiful inside....... Ko
My first guess is 3 syllables (i.e. X-X-X Rd) and the middle letter is E.I'm not sure if I'm right now as your last clue has thrown me! This is a fun guessing game! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/456-parking-problems/page/2/#findComment-9943 Share on other sites
chuff
I know the road you are referring to as it is the most direct to dulwich park but alas no, this one is a bit further down and has considerably less sylabubs. I like that other road though, the houses are very pointy and happy looking. Ko
Hurrah! I think everyone should drive to the forum drinks on Friday 13th, park their car on your road, cut through Milo Rd to get to the CPT, then get horribly drunk and have to leave their car there overnight and well into Saturday!
