tomo
Nicola from child sleep solutions is brilliant. V sympathetic and will come up with a plan to suit you. She gets mentioned on here a lot. http://www.childsleepsolutions.co.uk Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/45517-anyone-know-if-a-sleep-advisortrainer/#findComment-755005 Share on other sites
localyocal
We used a sleep trainer called Hannah Love at the Yummy Baby Group (easy to find on a Google search). She was fantastic and we will be using her again for our second child due shortly. My son was 5 months old when we started and still waking approx 25 times a night (no joke). We will all loosing our sanity. Hannah doesn't visit in person but advises by phone / email for as long as it takes to solve the issue. She worked with us until our son was going to sleep on his own and staying asleep - we saw a massive improvement within a week or so and then the rest was fine tuning. I honestly can't recommend her enough. Oh, and no controlled crying - just gently teaching reliable sleep cues until he could sleep on his own. 18 months on and we still use the sleep cues and he is still a good sleeper (normally...). nunheadmum
Night Nannies did it for us. Sorting out sleep was the best money we ever spent in all the cash you spend on young kids. patt1980
Another vote for Nicola here! My 7 month old was waking every 2 hrs through the night and having had a consult with her and a looong weekend of implementing her suggestions he now sleeps 11-12 hrs straight! Hiveson
I've just used night nannies and my 6 month old has gone from waking 5 or 6 times a night to doing 12 hours which has been totally life changing! We did try and do it ourselves but failed miserably - if you're not tough enough, I thoroughly recommend paying the money - which was a significant sum for us - as he and we are all 100% happier. Strawbs
Hiveson - how long did it take for that to work? We are considering getting someone in. Thanks!
