Anyone installed a sprinkler system?

Hi,

We have an open plan layout and are hoping to convert our loft. We've been told that we either need to add a wall next to the stairs or put in a sprinkler system. I'd love to hear from anyone who has installed a sprinkler system, to understand:

- costs

- whether it looks OK

- how easy it was (or not)

Modern ones are flush fitting with a cover, so they're pretty unobtrusive - less so than smoke alarms - and pop down when activated.

Have a look at automist - I have just had a system fitted to solve the same problem and can let you know more details if you like.
