Well it would seem bloggy types are less than enthused

I guess it all still boils down to moderation policies. The sort of people willing to dish out death threats online aren't far removed from the idiots who threaten world cup referees and the like.

They're not put off doing so by the law so a pretty picture in the corner won't stop them.

That said, categorising a blog or forum so people can easily see where a site lies in the death threat - slanging match - polite - dull spectrum isn't such a bad idea.

Interesting but this forum isn't a blog, is slightly moderated, there's not a "anything goes" policy and anonymous comments aren't allowed. I agree that people should take responsibility for their words and having looked at the draft I think this site adheres to most of what's written.

    • My partner told me the other day that he had seen some in Southwark Park, and he had never seen any there before. I've only ever seen them near water, eg by the stream on the walk between Merton and Carshalton. Hoping I might get some in the garden now, it would make a nice change from sparrows, great tits and the robin, lovely as they are 😀
    • Thanks, I'll call them.  I don't think the letters would be sent out from the shop, so it's more likely that the info line would know.
    • Main info number is 0208 768 4500 you could try that
    • I’ve searched and found some chat back in October about the white stuff place closing and that Oliver Bonas could take it over.  Hopefully that’s the case. Went to Bromley over Christmas and there’s quite a few shop closures on the main high street that weren’t there when I last went. Think it could be going the same way as Croydon sadly.
