newto Dulwich
There seem to have been a few posts historically on this but nothing all that recent - I'm keen to start my baby in swimming "lessons" once he's 6+ months. Has anyone experience of anything around Dulwich Village/East Dulwich/Herne Hill etc? AnMKing
Babyswimming do classes at Michael Tippitt school in Herne Hill, our little one has just started at 4 months, those in his class range from 2 month to 10 month, although the instructor did say the yougest she'd seen was 2 weeks. Summer Term has just started so they'd probably be booking Autumn term sometime soon. It's in a hydrotherapy pool so warmer than your average pool.http://www.babyswimming.co.uk/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44826-swimming-classes-for-babies/#findComment-750599 Share on other sites
Mariamadeit
I have been taking my daughter to waterbabies sessions, we go to the park plaza hotel at Westminster bridge but there are a number of pools around that they use, we love it and the bus ride is part of the day out. MrsAk
Peckham Pulse do swimming lessons for babies and they are really good! The next term started this week but you could call and see if there are any places. Excellent value for money - ?60 for 10 lessons. Saffron
We did our baby swim classes through Water Babies, in the hydrotherapy pool at Lewisham Hospital. The water is definitely nicer than typical pools, warmer, cleaner etc. If you can find classes in a hydrotherapy pool near you, I'd highly recommend it! xx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44826-swimming-classes-for-babies/#findComment-750856 Share on other sites
Lndnmum
We are doing Little Dippers at London Bridge and we love it! It is not the cheapest but it is worth every penny. Our little one complains every time we are leaving she loves it so much. susanj
I'm afraid I can't recommend the classes at Peckham Pulse. I felt there was no progression, and the teacher was actually absent the past 3 classes. I've asked for a refund for those. slh2009
A bit further to go but can really recommend Tiny Fins swimming at Bethlem Hospital in Beckenham on Sat/Sun. We are very pleased with our son's progress and the teacher is lovely Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44826-swimming-classes-for-babies/#findComment-768578 Share on other sites
