For nice local crafts stuff, I recommend LOIS down in Peckham (Bellenden side).

Seems cheaper, more original, and in support of local crafts artists:

I only ever went in a couple of times finding them ridiculously expensive. Not surprised they have had to close in this economic climate

Luca's, Jack's and Homemade weren't delis, if you are looking for a new cafe, then try La Scala on Grove Vale, run by charming Italian people.

The Dulwich Supermarket (opposite the old ED deli) now has a deli counter. They also have a brilliant fruit & veg section and a selection of fresh meat (chicken, Mince) type products now.

I couldn't recommend it enough.

I used to use it (Dulwich Supermarket) a lot before it changed hands - prices have gone up since then and there's more high-end organic stuff which is obviously what people want. Don't use it so much now.
