Otta
I think it looks quite nice. And nothing is a surprise when it comes to prices anymore. EDmummy
There's a two bedroom house in a Hindmans Rd that can be much wider and went for about ?400k a year ago. Sue
There's a tiny narrow little house in Herne Hill, isn't there, on the opposite side of the road from the Half Moon?Or is that just a shop?Or have I imagined it altogether?! Hawley
Think you're referring to Artemidorus, Sue. I walk past it every day, it's some sort of gallery/craft shop. And yes, it's thin! Help-Ma-Boab
There's a narrow one down near Peckham Rye station. Opposite Bar Story. Ended up in there one evening and it was great. It's about the width of a mini (parked out front) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/44633-londons-skinniest-home-denmark-hill/#findComment-749216 Share on other sites
Robert Poste's Child
Couple on Friern Road too I think. And isn't there one you can see from the platform at P Rye station which is the width of a Mini? lousmith
Skinny of South Kensington would get my vote!. Probably more than grove lane too. Jeremy
I think it looks nice. A much nicer road than Friern Rd or Hindmans Rd. And if you knock out the chimney breast it will feel a bit more spacious... nice long garden too. monica
Does look nice, theres a very similar one on Woodvale, just as you pass Hornimans, after the council flats. If you blinked, you would miss it. Quite a contrast to all the large houses on the vale. EDmummy
Hindmans Rd may not be the most attractive road but the skinny house is beautiful inside - much lighter and airy, architecture designed with a number of sky lights/roof lights and a pretty garden. I saw it a few years ago when previous owners were converting. Good example of what you can do with a small space.
