I had one fitted last year. It did cost around ?80.00. (Curry's)


They performed several electrical tests . Earth Leak Tests. before and after the New appliance was fitted.

They will not fit the appliance if there is any problem with any of your wiring.

It's best to know if you have problems.


They then provided a Full Electrical Safety Certificate.

It may affect any Guarantee if you do not have one.

From what I can remember if you are connecting to and existing outlet, not putting a new outlet in, you can do it yourself. Just make sure that all the connections are nice and tight. This is of course assuming that you aren't putting something in that has the power consumption of a small city.
