citizenED
I just absolutely delight in this scene from the movie Ratatouille. The music is perfect, the comic timing spot-on, the camerawork (if you get what I mean) is terrific and the expressions exquisite. If you are not turned onto cooking after this, there is no hope.Making Soup Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4437-favourite-scenes/page/2/#findComment-143010 Share on other sites

Keef
Loving this thread, things I've never seen that I now plan to, including Ratatouille!Bignumber5, the scene where he plays the opera is one of my favourites.I'm not (that) ashamed to say that I like Dirty Dancing. It has a wonderful soundtrack, including "Cry to me" by Solomon Burke, (the tune in the scene annaj posted) which is one of my favourite songs (although unfortunately a pretty girl has never asked me to dance to it in an effort to get me in to bed). I also had a childhood crush on "Baby".It was on one night last week, and amazingly it was the first time Mrs Keef had ever seen it! Jah Lush
"I was a wretch headed for a life of drug crime and violence and my Pastor encouraged me to try Stareathon. I struggled at first, but gradually, match by match, I gained the respect of my peers and found my identity. And look at me today. I can make dogs defecate just by staring at them from twenty paces. Stareathon turned me from the dark side. Now I run a thriving dog-walking service. Think again, Bro!" citizenED
I have great affection for High Fidelity too D_C, and found so many reasons why I like it when looking for that clip. Amazed that I even went to see it after the sacrilege of having it set in North America rather than North London! As it happens I actually think its one of those rare cases when the film is better than the book. You have to go a few times round all the blocks of Edinbrugh in order to better the opening of Trainspotting Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4437-favourite-scenes/page/2/#findComment-143305 Share on other sites
