Keef
Does anyone remember those Stone Age days when you couldn't just find any clip or song you wanted and instantly post it to your acquaintance? How DID we cope?Moos wrote the above after posting a link to THIS.. From that film, I actually like This One.Anyway, thought I'd start a new thread for people to post favourite scenes, be they funny, romantic, scary, whatever. david_carnell
It's a 70s film called The Warriors about a gang from Coney Island forced to make their way home across the 5 Boroughs and fight loads of other gangs on their way. It's marvellous. And yeah, I think they did do a game of it. No idea if it's any good though. Jah Lush
Nice one David. I remember going to see that at the flicks when it came out. I still have the single of that track. It's by Barry De Vorzon or something like that. Top tune. david_carnell
Blimey Jah. On the assumption you didn't look that up like I just had to, that's some encyclopedic knowledge. Mr Devorzon did most of the instrumental tracks by the looks of things.I suppose I should post this as well, given it's one of the few songs I can recite off by heart from one of my favourite movies:The Big Lebowski - Just Dropped In...Although, tbh, I could just post every scene from the film. SeanMacGabhann
speaking of crying - this poignant scene between Tom Conti and Beat Takeshi (later to go on and make cracking films such as Hanna Bi) gets me every time -set a few years after the events of the filmMerry Christmas Mr Lawrence ending Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/4437-favourite-scenes/#findComment-142965 Share on other sites
david_carnell
Wow. Cultural admission time - I've never seen that. Just read the wiki entry though and can't believe it's not appeared on my radar. Powerful stuff. War films are always a bugger for making me cry. But this, from a popular tv show had the same effect:ER Season 8 Episode 21God, I'm such a woman! annaj
From Dirty Dancing (widely dismissed as a mindless chick flick, but in fact a beautiful coming of age film full of social and political subtext. And dancing) my favourite ever scene.*whispers*It's on fiver right now if anyone wants to catch that last dance.
