Fireworks through door???

Spoilsport.

Having been deprived of the delights of fireworks throughout my childhood (there was a ban in Northern Ireland because of the "troubles"). They should be available to sensible adults only - which generally seems to be the case here now. Like fags and booze!

The main problem are the really loud ones that have no purpose except to disturb the peace. Also if idiots are posting them the doors it's very scary.

Might be worth leaving a basin of water on the inside of your front door. I know you shouldn't have to but while you wait for the police to get it sorted out...
