From a prominent Aristocratic Family and yet still possesses the "Common Touch"in dealing with ordinary, everyday, common or garden people.

She can still relate to what its like to have been "brung" up on a large Council estate,as well.

Wondrous Woman.(6)

Surely it's Harriet Harperson, she enjoyed one of the best private educations money can buy, educated at the independent St Paul's Girls' School and the University of York.

Has not voted on a freedom of information act.

Voted for introducing a smoking ban.

Voted for introducing ID cards.

Voted for introducing foundation hospitals.

Voted for introducing student top-up fees.

Voted for Labour's anti-terrorism laws.

Voted for the Iraq war.

Voted against investigating the Iraq war.

Voted for replacing Trident.

This is all from Wikidlies, but I'm sure it's correct. Talk about the nanny state!! By all accounts a very nice person, well educated, us working class people like that.

I am not quite sure why you're all picking on Lady Harman. Surely her voting record is no different to any other government member? And as far as her education goes York Uni makes her positively plebian compared to the Oxbridge Mafia surrounding her on both sides of the house..

Guilty confession....way back in the days when the local Labour Party was based in a terrace house on Grove Vale I had the opportunity to run Ms Harman over when she was trying to cross the road (no Pelican Crossing there then!). But as she was heavily pregnant at the time (I did say it was a while ago) I thought it would have been bad form to jeopardise my no claims bonus in such a caddish manner....B)

met the woman at her surgery, very nice, bleeding hardworking and has more conviction and backbone than the entire council executive put to together. I asked her if we could use the anti terrorism laws on said members of the council over their robbery of the Nunhead regeneration money and its plundered interest, she thought it was great idea and would look into it. Expect a knock some time soon.

Maybe I missed it or I don't do subtle, or maybe it's just because it's half past midnight, but the statement being made escapes me. Can you explain it for the hard of thinking please?

i was wondering the same too

how are the sales going? do people want this kinda stuff?

(edited for shocking typo)

I could probably flog some to the people I work with MM. They?re a bunch of wonks who speak about politicians in the same way normal people speak about rock stars.

Can?t walk around Westminster without them pointing at and gibbering about every obscure MP they catch sight of.
