WeightShift Club, St Saviours church nr Dulwich, Wed 4th June-Wed 9th July. For ladies

Recommended Posts

I'm a local mum & nutritionist who has had a practice in south east London for nearly 10 years. And along with Vicky Brown- personal trainer, who specialises in ladies and post-natal fitness, we are running our 7th WeightShift Club in Forest Hill, close to East Dulwich in June.

It's an exclusive 6 week weight-loss course for ladies combining cutting edge nutrition & exercise, which we devised together.

This time it's a daytime one and babies are welcome (but not obligatory!)- they'll be play mats and a few toys :)

We have had brilliant feedback thus far, and great results. Have a look at the site for some before & after photos and comments from past participants:

The classes are small, friendly and very relaxed. In each week's hourly session, you will received a tailored dietary advice, follow an exercise regime and much more. From a nutritional perspective, the course topic include: common myths about weight-loss, blood sugar/insulin control, losing fat from the middle, emotional/comfort eating etc.

Thanks Kirsten Brooks, nutritionist- BSc Hons, DN Med

Excited to see you are running this again - I throughly enjoyed the last time I joined the course and I have worked super hard with all your advice and have lost a total of 5 stone in 1 and a half years! I would like to sign up again would be good to repeat it as I am sure it would add inspiration and knowledge to my journey. I will email you through the website now! Thanks Julie, Dulwich Village
Thanks Julie. It has been great to have you on the course - your impressive weight-loss and the way you have kept it going by following our advice has been brilliant. I'll look forward to hearing from you soon and seeing you next month on our next course. We will then help you shift the final few pounds.

Hello. Glad your friend enjoyed the course- thanks for your message. Typically the other ladies have lost between 6-14 pounds over the 6 weeks (although everyone is different.) But more importantly they have felt healthier and also kept the weight off and continued to lose more on the maintenance plan from week 6. It's not a diet where you risk lowering your metabolism and putting it all back on afterwards. I'm sure you could achieve the results you are after.

Yes in some of the classes, the person trainer puts you all through an exercise routine for half of the hour, and there are exercises to do at home, when you can fit them in- short, effective ones.

Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks

Hi there, yes! I have put together a special dietary protocol based on latest science on weight loss and it works without any going hungry or feeling overly deprived!! Hence 6 former courses with lots of happy participants who have lost weight and kept it off. Yes I supply food plans, menus, recipe ideas all sorts, and lots of healthy snack options :)
I took part in this course after my first child in 2012. Unfortunately I had really piled on a lot of weight. I managed to lose a lot of the weight myself but as you so often here really struggled with the final few pounds. The course was fantastic in helping me, I loved the group support and morale, the dietary plan bust most of all to see the weight fall of was fantastic. By the time my daughter celebrated her first birthday, I was back to pre pregnancy weight and sporting some skinny(ish) jeans! x
Hi there, you should always wait for your 6 week postnatal check and 8 weeks after caesarean to resume exercise. But 6 months after would be fine. You would just tell Vicky if you any health issues, as she is used to dealing with post-natal ladies and takes into account people's physical condition in all her exercise classes. If you are still breast-feeding, you would need to let us know at the start though so we can accommodate the dietary plan to your specific needs. Hope that answers your question, let me know if you have any further questions.

    • William, a farmer, farming with both his parents who are in their 80s, summed up the nonsensical approach the government is taking on farmers on Question Time tonight when he said: "At the point at which inheritance tax becomes due you aren't in a position to pay it without selling an income bearing asset which then destabilises the very entity you have built up to create a profit from". He summed it up beautifully when he closed: "If this policy were to persist it will materially and existentially destabilise our [the county's] farming business " The biggest clap of the programme came from the ex-NFU president who accused the government panelist: "Why aren't you going after the wealthy investors, the private equity businesses that are buying up land, planting trees, offsetting their green conscience. You've done nothing to them. They're the ones driving up land prices. These farmers do not want to sell their asset....they want to invest in it and this is going to stifle investment. Who is going to want to invest in new buildings as that is going to drive up the value of the estate." "You're going after the wrong people". It's amazing that the government have been daft enough to pick a fight with farmers - Alastair Campbell commented that he did react with shock when it was announced in the budget as, he said, you don't start a fight with farmers.
