????
Another bar..lol.....you lot DO live in cloudcukoo. I love bars and would be delighted if the whole of LL was bars (with the occasional bookie) offering a wide experience and venues for all moods. In reality there's far too many now (and that's without the worsening economic picture) and another would just dilute trade, put them all under more commerrcial pressure (often resulting in a poorer experience in terms of offer/service etc as they cut cost) and potentially result in more closures...I expect he Plough finds it tough enough where it is without having it's existing trade split in half... djfitz
I notice you didn't dismiss the idea of a brothel, though.Glad to see that option is still on the table. EDOldie
Theres a misnomer that having too many of one thing, be it bars, restaurants, estate agents, is a bad thing. People tend to go to that street or area because of it (Brick Lane for a curry for instance, Amsterdam for, er, coffee shops) and leads to consequential business for other traders.Anyway, as I was tucking into some very plump and tasty Mussels this lunchtime in downtown Bromley I thought. 'Wouldn't that large place at Dulwich Plough, the ex co-op, be perfect for a Belgos, or some such similar bi-valve emporium. All that lovely Belguim beer and chips with mayonaise. Yum!
