matnurse1983
Advice/help needed with dragon tree. We are moving house and don't have room for my tree. I've had it for 6 years and would love to take a cutting from it if possible. Has anyone done this before? Any advice welcome. I was also wondering if there is a way to reduce the size of the plant...Once I have my cutting I would love for someone to plant it outside where it will have room to grow. The main plant needs re-potting and I would love for it to go to a good home.http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m98/delitheadenton/Mobile%20Uploads/20140421_154534_zps67533bbf.jpghttp://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m98/delitheadenton/Mobile%20Uploads/20140421_154559_zpsf96c8587.jpg Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/43574-looking-for-help-with-dragon-tree/ Share on other sites
Broadbean
If you go to web site ehow.com and type in how to take cuttings of dragon tree they have a simple description of how to do the cutting .They are house plants so if you planted it in the garden it would die in the winter so it would be better to find a new home for it .You can reduce the size by cutting out the tops but will then produce 2 or more shoots from the point you cut it . matnurse1983
Thank you Broadbean,I am going to have to take the plunge and try for a few cuttings from each stem. They will be easier to transport and I should get at least one new plant out of it :)I will post an update in a few months.D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/43574-looking-for-help-with-dragon-tree/#findComment-741893 Share on other sites
