Having hosted the show on London's Arts Radio Station for a year they are about to embark on a series of gigs around the country, as well as being invited to many of the summers top festivals. First up being Fire In the Mountain in North Wales where the band have been invited to curate the Woodburner Stage.

"The very best radio show in the world" said Razorlight, when they were on the show, and both the Guardian and Time Out gave us ***** - that's 5 whole stars!

The Relatives turn everyday London life into folk legend, writing at least one song each week about events, people or places in the capital for their live music show - so far on topics from Nunhead, Peckham, Getting lost on the underground, Climbing the Shards a la Greenpeace, Work, Bob Crowe, Jesus went to New Cross on the Ginger Line, Smash and Grab Robbery in Brent Cross, The Lost Rivers of London and so many more.

Featuring Cousin Richard on Uke, Cousin Anna on banjo, Nephew Pete on piano, Uncle Andrew on guitar, Double Cousin Dan on double bass and Grandpa Zed on cahon the Relatives are new departure in folk and country music.

Come along and join the family! Listen to the radio show! Have a great time!

    • Apart from being yet another eyesore in our lovely park the track is going to be 5 metres wide, that’s wider than my living room! By the time this is installed it will be too late for people to object. This must be rethought, even more of our park is being given over to GALA. The council didn’t factor in HGV access when they planned the flood alleviation works and now they expect park goers to suffer further. Complaints might help, worth a try but needs to be before the consultation ends on Feb 10th
    • It is absolutely real, I walked past the site, complete with car and trashed wall, at about 2pm this afternoon.
    • Oh ok, I'm even more confused now then. Have you seen the discussion on the dangerous driving thread?
    • Sue - I promise you that was no fake photo, not sure that I'm even capable to that.  I took the picture about 12:15 today.
