Describing themselves as purveyors of "Stupid World Music" and "The Bonzos Go Womad", The http://www.hkippers.com/index.html feature a sterling and eclectic array of talent including Shakespeare in Love musical score Oscar winner Stephen Warbeck (piano, accordion, vocals), Eastenders and Holby City actor Paul Bradley (vocals, guitar, sellotape), Pogues drummer Andrew Ranken (drums...reassuringly) and other very talented musicians whose credits include Django Bates, Loose Tubes and Steve Hacket (clarinet, whistle, bells, trumpet, double bass, tuba, trombone, flute, saxophone). Staggeringly surreal and brilliant fun - "Music at the fun end of cutting edge" says The Guardian. "Come and have a butchers - it's going to be a fabulous evening" says The Ivy House.

hKippers Time is almost upon us - tickets (?7) will be available on the door.

It's debatable whether or not this is positive publicity, but here's a video of Paul Bradley wrapping his head in sellotape, whilst also playing it, for their song "A fish on the Beach (the Sellotape Song)"
