Albino squirrel spoted in St Francis Park!

Pushing my daughter in the swing and I spotted a bright white animal - I thought it was an escaped pet rabbit but on closer inspection it was a bright white very friendy squirrel!

Anyone else seen him?

I wonder if he was in fact a squirrel that was having a bad hair day? Perhaps he went to some dodgy downmarket hair dressing establishment in Peckham and had a misfortune with the bleech (OHMYGOD!).

Only a few years ago there was an albino squirrel in Ruskin Park, which is not that far away from St Francis Park. Perhaps the two are related.

Definitely an albino squirrel in Ruskin Park a few years ago (me and kids used to spot it near the duck pond). Don't know if it's still there - not sure how long squirrels live!

My housemate told me she saw an albino squirrel near St Francis Road about a month ago. I assumed she was crazy and seeing things, but here's the proof that she was indeed right. I stand corrected.

I can explain. Me and the lads had a few beers a couple of months ago and caught a squirrel and got a can of white spray paint and gave it a makeover. It was going to be a Christmas present for my cousin but escaped I'm afraid. Next time I catch one I'll do it in neon.
