Very true, Dopamine. I think you could do another 20 based only on what English people mean by 'Sorry':

1.No.

2.Yes.

3.I don?t know.

4.Mind your own business.

5.That was your fault and we both know it.

6.What you just did is outrageous.

7.Move.

8.You have really bad manners.

9.That doesn't make sense.

10.You're interrupting a more interesting conversation.

11.Are you mad?

12.Shut up and listen to me.

13.I don't care what you think.

14.I'm not actually listening.

15.I?m just saying this to shut you up.

16.If you don?t want me to leave without paying, you?d better provide some service right now.

17.I'm so looking down on you.

18.I wouldn?t sleep with you if you were the last man on earth.

19.How dare you ask me for money.

20.Get out of my face now before I take you apart with my bare hands.

To a properly trained English person, it's pretty much a complete language.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

    • As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!
    • Unlikely. It would take a little more than a bit of Milton to alter the pH of eighty-odd thousand gallons of water.
    • It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
    • Sadly they don't do the full range of post office services
