haart Estate Agents

We bought a property that was managed by Haart, I felt they were fantastic to be honest, not what I would have expected from a typical estate agent:)

Sandy was the negotiator who we went through when we were finalising the details of the property; very attentive, always returned are calls..... deal probably would have fallen through if it wasn't for her.

Hope this helps, feel free to ask any more questions:)

Different for me. Placed calls to Haart that haven't been returned, registered for mailing lists, notification of property for sale as we are cash buyers, yet nothing. It Is very frustrating from a buyers point of view. I wouldn't use them. We have however sold property through Pedder (in the village)and they have been brilliant. Pedder are completely on their sales and have been nothing but excellent throughout. Communication with Pedder has been great, less so with any other estate agent in the area.

Hope this helps, would use Pedder over any of the others!

Would strongly endorse the team at Haart - particularly Nick, William and Sandy. Great local knowledge, honest, professional (cue howls of laughter given we're talking about an estate agent, but that was genuinely our experience).

We have bought and sold via Haart Dulwich - most recently in December 2013. Our buyers tried to gazunder us at the last minute (in this market - crazy) - Haart got the property back on the market and back under offer by the weekend.

On the other side of the transaction we had Pedder, who from their shifty sales patter at the outset, to the unreturned calls, shambolic exchange / completion process etc nearly scuppered the deal.

PM me if you need any other details.

I bought via Haart and I thought they were very good. They have a lady in the branch who deals with all the admin once a sale has been agreed and that seemed to keep things moving nicely. I used a solicitor from their panel who was a bit slow but I didn't need to chase as they did it for me.

Worst on the lane when I bought - Foxtons. The market was quieter then and they didn't get back to me about a property I wanted to view until about a month after I asked - was already in the process of purchasing my house by then.

    • Some managers never reach adulthood and don't have a sufficent level of maturity to understand the difference between a technical role where you are constantly producing output for deadlines, and their own role which is reading (but never responding to) emails and talking crap all day. I used to sit in the office (surrounded by chitchat) & pointless meetings getting nothing done so I'd go to bed when I got home & set my alarm for 2am to do my work. This went on for about 10yrs before COVID. I'm an introvert so I don't have any WFH negatives....

    • I also recently waited 30 minutes to speak to someone at HMRC. First of all, they had indicated the wait time from the outset. Secondly, it is a very busy time for them,  with  the 31 January deadline looming. Thirdly, I might be confusing them with some other organisation, but I think they gave other options including for them to phone you back if you didn't want to hang on. Anyway, my main point is that I don't know whether the person I spoke to was working from home or not, but there was no background noise, she was incredibly sympathetic and helpful, and to my utter disbelief she extended the deadline for me to the end of March 😮  The reason was that I couldn't do my online return due to  my laptop meltdown, and had been told repair could take up to 28 working days. She thought that a deadline of the end of February might not be long enough  I was fully expecting to be told that it was my own fault for not getting the return in before. So credit where credit's due, basically. I've previously found HMRC staff very helpful in patiently  explaining in simple language stuff in the rules which I couldn't understand. As for working from home, I'm long retired from working for others, but I have both on occasion worked well into the night/over weekends to meet critical project deadlines,  and also on occasion skived. But in the first job I was being paid a lot, and in the second job I wasn't 🤣
    • I can't help with pinpointing the source of the bass, but I have found playing white noise helps to mask unwanted sounds, and it's also quite soothing (in a way). I ask Alexa to play white noise, which must make a nice  change for her from asking what the temperature and/or weather is outside, or asking her to sing the Doggy Song, which is usually all she does (present from my brother). But probably you can get a white noise app on your phone. Have you contacted Southwark Noise Control (?) who may be able to trace where the bass is coming from?
