Does any where to eat in ED beat the Crooked Well in camberwell?

Got my parents down this weekend. Nearly booked in to try The Patch, but have read very mixed reviews so bottled it and just booked the crooked well. ToastED us great, but not 'traditional' enough for the folks tastes. Is there anywhere I'm missing out on?

The Camberwell Arms, Franklins and No. 67 @ south London Gallery, Angels and Gypsies all received enthusiastic parental approval this end!

Kitty's suggestions all great but no, you can't beat The Crooked Well. Wouldn't bother with The Patch again.

I was at patch for birthday dinner with friends last sat and thought it was fantastic! Didn't know taut it had mixed reviews...

Had the set lunch menu at The Patch today. It's really good value - food was delicious.

Having been four times now, I've only had very good food at The Patch....I like the wine list there too.

I'm def going to give The Patch a try! Will try with friends first though. :)
