Hello Jamie, this is Richard the chess teacher at the bookshop on North cross Road. I posted a message on 'private messages' today (18th)about offering adults an opportunity to learn, play, revisit chess again.

Maybe some of you might want to take a look at the mesage and contact me to discuss this further. I am thinking of running the classes on a Saturday afternoon from about 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm. What do you think?

Regards, Richard

Please try and stay roughly on topic

Asking Keef directly about his phone bill in a thread about a local chess club is taking it too off topic. If you want to chat about things not related to East Dulwich please go to the Lounge.

    • Just wanted to add another recommendation for John and Gabi at Top Marx Kitchens. This was my first time managing a kitchen reno and they made the whole process smooth and stress free. John was a pleasure to have in the flat, was super helpful and had fantastic attention to detail. Hiccups along the way were dealt with, John was so generous and helpful. I’m so happy with the finished result! Communication throughout the job was great, get in touch with Gabi and John at [email protected] 🙂
    • I can't guarantee that they'll have what you're after but I was very impressed with The Nunhead Gardener this week.  I'd also been to Croxted Road and the Pot and Plant next to North Dulwich Station and the selection at both paled by comparison.
    • Not attached to anything but did have a collar on but I thought that was strange too. I wasn’t sure what to do after i saw the woman go after him/her, as I didn’t know where he/she had gone (or if she/he perhaps was taken home after that point)
