Hi, is anyone else having problems with Virgin Broadband? I have a terribly slow service since I first subscribed over a year ago. I upgraded to the 10mb download speed a couple of months ago and it has not improved, still only getting a download speed of around 0.3mb. After about a dozen calls to Virgin they have finally ackowledged that the service is the area (Bellenden Road) is suffering form over utilisation and cannot advise when it will be resolved. For anyone thinking of subscribing I would recommend looking elsewhere. Another problem with Virgin is that once you have a Virgin phone line, a pre-requisite for the broadband (I think), you can't broadband provider unless you want the hassle of changing the phone back to BT. I would be interested to know if anyone else is having these problems.

    • That's the Goose website, I assume.  Never mind, there are other US-based  sites available.  I've found having avoidance of a https://invisioncommunity.com/legal/privacy/#two product in my One More Thing set can be quite beneficial too. :-)
    • Big thanks to everybody who helped the problem is now solved
    • For those wanting to boycott US products, it might be useful to consider  a list of brands owned  by Proctor and Gamble:-     Ariel laundry detergent Crest toothpaste[4] Dawn dishwashing Downy fabric softener and dryer sheets Fairy washing up liquid Febreze odour eliminator Gillette razors, shaving soap, shaving cream, body wash, shampoo, deodorant Head & Shoulders shampoo Olay personal and beauty products Oral-B oral hygiene products Pantene haircare products Tide laundry detergents and products Vicks cough and cold products
    • Not sure about changing hands but the Peckham Rye one is open and hasn’t had any random closures. Our child is very happy there but there was a resolved Ofsted complaint half way through last year.  Things don’t look good for the Devon nursery owned by the same company - looks like loads of issues with Ofsted which can be seen in its latest report.
